Dr. Albrecht von Breitenbuch M.A.

Dr. Albrecht von Breitenbuch, an of counsel in Orrick’s Berlin office, is a member of the Real Estate Group as well as the European Corporate Group. Dr. von Breitenbuch’s practice focuses on transactions, joint-ventures, restructurings and ongoing legal advice for domestic and international corporate clients, start-ups and emerging companies as well as public sector authorities and entities. In 2010, Dr. von Breitenbuch spent a secondment in our offices in San Francisco and partly in Silicon Valley.

As part of his real estate practice, recent notable transactions in which Dr. von Breitenbuch has participated include, among others, acting as lead counsel in several portfolio acquisitions and dispositions of real estate investment funds.  Dr. von Breitenbuch also has broad experience with regard to real estate, corporate and financing issues. He has advised clients on both purchases and sales of assets. He also provides on-going legal advice to clients in managing and developing their subsidiaries and the German portfolio.

In his general business and corporate practice, Dr. von Breitenbuch advises private and public sector clients in general civil, commercial, corporate and takeover law matters. He serves clients in a variety of industries and from emerging companies to mid-cap and global players. As part of his practice, Dr. von Breitenbuch is also regularly engaged in litigation cases, in particular regarding complex post transaction disputes.
