Dr. Benedikt Burger, a partner in Orrick's Frankfurt office, is a member of the European Corporate Group.  Dr. Burger's practice focuses on a variety of domestic and international business transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and restructuring/turn-around projects. Dr. Burger is head of the German restructuring group. Furthermore, Dr. Burger represents corporate clients in international arbitration proceedings.

Dr. Burger regularly advises international power plant manufacturers (Alstom, AREVA) as well as a supplier of equipment for transmission and distribution of electrical equipment (Schneider Electric). Moreover, Dr. Burger represents a U.S.-based machine tool manufacturer (Hardinge Inc.). Dr. Burger represents the Spanish pump manufacturer Espa in its activities in Germany. Furthermore, the U.K.-based investment company MGPA is also his client.

Currently, Dr. Burger represents national and international clients in more than 10 international ICC arbitration proceedings.
