Dr. Jochen Beutel, an associate in Orrick's Berlin office, is a member of the Real Estate Group. Dr. Beutel's practice focuses on real estate transactions, negotiations of commercial lease agreements, advice on all legal matters related with commercial leases and the Public Law, in particular European Union Law

Dr. Beutel’s clients include English and Australian investors, in particular the Valad Property Group and Rutley Capital Partners LLP. He also advises, inter alia, a well known Dutch project developer and a Düsseldorf-based asset-management-group. Dr. Beutel's recent transactions include the launching of the German Aktiv Property Fund, the acquisition of real estate portfolios for Rutley Capital Partners and the conclusion of several large-scale lease agreements.

Dr. Beutel has six years professional experience in research and teaching at European University in Frankfurt (Oder) in the area of public law, in particular, administrative, finance and monetary law.
