Dr. Karsten Faulhaber is an of counsel and a member of the European Litigation Group in the Düsseldorf offices of Orrick Hölters & Elsing. He has extensive experience as counsel in complex litigations and arbitrations and represents both national and international clients in numerous arbitrations under various rules, e.g. the ICC Rules, the DIS Rules, the WIPO Rules and the Rules of the Chamber of Commerce Hamburg.

Dr. Faulhaber's practice also has a focus on national and international mergers and acquisitions, including joint ventures and strategic alliances. His clients include global investors, such as the Indian Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., the Dutch Scheuten group and the English Media Square group. Further, he advises several large German companies in commercial law matters and Haftpflichtkasse Darmstadt in insurance law issues.

Recent transactions in which Dr. Faulhaber has participated include the following.

  • Stakeholders in Wirth Maschinen- and Bohrgerätefabrik GmbH in connection with the sale of shares to Aker Kvaerner .
  • Mahindra & Mahindra in connection with the acquisition of Schöneweiss & Co. GmbH.
  • Stakeholders in Vibromax Bodenverdichtungsmaschinen GmbH in connection with the sale of shares to the English JCB group.
