Ebiquity plc., the AIM-listed international media and marketing analytics company, recently acquired its competitor Xtreme Information Services Ltd, the international media intelligence group. In this transaction, Ebiquity also acquired the remaining interest in TMC Thomson Media Control GmbH & Co. KG with its advertising monitoring business focused on German speaking countries.

For Ebiquity, founded in 1997, this was the group's biggest transaction to date and has brought together the international market leaders in a transformational deal to create a global leader in media and marketing analytics and advertising intelligence. Both acquisitions were separate, but inter-conditional parts of a complex transactional package implemented in the U. K. and in Germany. The consideration for both acquisitions was largely paid in new shares. For this reason they also involved an increase in the capital of Ebiquity and were immediately followed by a subsequent refinancing.

Prior to the acquisitions, Ebiquity already owned 50% interest in TMC Thomson Media Control located in Baden-Baden. The remaining interest of the major national player in Europe's largest advertising market was held by a private individual. London based Xtreme Information Services operates its international media intelligence business with a foot-print in over 60 countries and inter alia a strong presence in Hamburg. The majority shareholder in the group was a private equity fund managed by Veronis Suhler Stevenson.
